Message From Founders
Our Values and Objective is to provide best possible critical care rescue to the citizens and visitors of Nepal. A help in time of need should be professional and those ready to help should have the spirit and integrity to respond without any prejudice.

In the summer of 2018, an injured victim was brought to Kathmandu from Ramechhap in a helicopter but he died at the Airport. A Korean trekker was evacuated from Khare area of Mera Peak Trekking in Khumbu region but died in Lukla. There were no medics on board in both of these case and this should never have happened. All the founding members and Core Members aware of these events could not stay put and as such came together with thoughts and intention to establish Nepal Medics and Mountaineers foundation which could fundamentally play a major role to mitigate medical distresses for the citizens of Nepal and visiting Tourist as well as streamline the current way of carrying out Search, Rescue and recovery missions.
NMMF is a benchmark Nepalese Not for Profit organization based in Kathmandu. It organizes, coordinates and performs rescue interventions and transportation of ill and accident victims from remote areas into hospitals or other adequate locations for further treatment. It operates in the entirety of Nepalese territory on a 24/7/365 schedule. Its founders and core members are 100% Nepalese individuals. We are highly effective with Long Lines rescues in Geographically Challenging Terrains and in very high altitudes where helicopters are unable to land. NMMF sets high standards in conducting rescues with trained Medics, Rescue Specialists, Mountain Guides and Pilots. Our Medics, Mountain Guides and management team are trained professionals.
NMMF’s pricing policy is totally transparent and it does not add mark-ups or take commissions on work done by subcontractors or any other third parties. NMMF has no exclusivity contract with any supplier. The selection of rescue intervention teams entirely and only depends on the quality and availability of the specific intervention specialists as well as medics.
NMMF soon aims to be able to coordinate and complete any rescue intervention safely on their own and fully independent through training and developments of Medics/ Paramedics, Helicopter Pilots, Rescue Specialists for Long Line Rescue and Helicopter Pilots meeting International Standard.
NMMF will take the limited benefits of system of medical evacuation enjoyed by few to the larger domain and out of the Private Hospitals with helipads to people who are unable to afford the treatment there. Chitwan boy case. Transferred from chitwan Medical college to Mediciti. Not everyone can affort and this needs to be changed. People should have more choice.
